The U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he would recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in December 2017. Haaretz reported that the United States will open its new embassy in Jerusalem this May. The embassy will at first be located in the Arnona neighborhood in a
building that handles consular affairs.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and a small staff will work
